Current Legislation

The legal minimum for a non-domestic rented property is still EPC Band E.  The current government consultation intends to require buildings over 1,000 sqm to reach EPC B by 2031, "where cost effective" — but this is still a proposal, not law, and needs secondary legislation to pass through Parliament. Buildings under 1,000 sqm stay at the E minimum for now, with no set date to go further.
